Terms and Conditions

Please read and understand the following terms and conditions, as the purchase of a service from Zuerich Guides implies the acceptance of such terms and conditions.

  • Cancellation:

If a service is cancelled less than seven working working days before the scheduled departure time, 100% of the price must be paid. If a service is cancelled more than seven working days before the scheduled departure time, the amount will be totally refunded except for the following:

1) Tickets and reservations that have already been made for the client (these will not be refunded);

2) Bank charges related to the payment of the service (these will not be refunded).


  • Cancellation of private transfer, boats rides, cable cars tickets, train tickets:

In case a service includes the rental/usage of these services, the cancellation policy will be the following: if the service is cancelled more than 30 days in advance a full refund will be provided. If the service is cancelled less than 30 days in advance no refund will be given and the service will have to be paid in full.


  • Force Majeure:

Zuerich guides, its agents, representatives and contractors are not liable and will not provide refunds for any events which are caused as a result of acts of God or Governments, war hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil strife, labor dispute, strike, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, theft, epidemics, medical or customs regulations, technical or administrative problems with transport, closure of airports, breakdown of machinery, adverse weather conditions, water shortages or any other occurrences beyond our immediate control and which, despite all due care being taken, could not have been avoided.

In case of force majeure, Zuerich Guides reserves the right (but makes no guarantees) to offer substitute services that may be an adequate replacement for the originally scheduled service. If no substitute is available, or the substitutes offered are not accepted, no refunds will be made.

Zuerich guides shall not become liable for any personal injury, property damage, accident, delay, inconvenience or any other irregularity due to wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omission on the part of the service providers. By engaging Zurich Guides and making payment for the specified services, you agree to hold Zuerich guides harmless in making arrangements on your behalf and that any claims of damages, refunds or credits shall be sought directly from the service providers.


  • Delays and no-shows:

Upon confirmation of your service, you will receive an email with the details of such service as well as the contact information of your tour guide. 

If you anticipate that you will be delayed for any reason and will not be able to honor your scheduled meeting time, it is your responsibility to call us as soon as possible informing us of such delay.

The waiting time for the tour guide is 20 minutes on site.

Without counter report or information: not appearing is called "NO SHOW"; no-show clients cannot re-schedule the service and must re-book the service at the full price.  

Longer tour time due to delay is possible against extra payment and subject to availability. Nevertheless, whenever possible, we may reschedule your meeting time at no extra cost, if at all possible.


  • Notice of Non-Receipt of Service Emails/Vouchers:

After booking a service with us, we will always send you an email confirming such service and with all the necessary details. In the event that such information (email) may not have been received by you prior to that service, it is your responsibility to contact us at least 24 hours before the agreed started hour for such service, in order to allow us time to resend it.


Failure to do so from your side may result in loss of your reservation and/or tickets, for which we will not be responsible and in any case be able to refund you.

  • Liability:

Zurich guides and the tour guide will not be held responsible for accidents that may occur during a tour. Nor are they responsible for any damage, loss or theft of items or property during a tour. Zuerich guides strongly recommends you to purchase a travel insurance. Your travel insurance should provide cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability.

  • Meals:

Meals are not included, unless stated otherwise as part of the service/tour. If meals are included in a tour, this will be apparent from the documentation and will be confirmed in writing. Not taking agreed meals will not entitle you to any kind of compensation or price reduction. Please report any special diet or allergies ahead of time. 

  • Terms of Payment:

All prices are in SWISS francs; the full payment needs to be done seven working days before the service takes place, and should be done so by bank transference. 

  • Visa Applications:

Zuerich-guides and the tour guide/guides are not responsible or liable for any undelivered or incorrectly issued visas or responsabilities. Please refer to the Federal homepage for any additional informação, important for guest from non-European countries: www.eda.admin.ch  

  • The place of Jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland

Word of Advice:

In the alpine and high alpine areas it can be cold even in the summer and under the sunshine, so warm clothes are strongly recommended. For your comfort and safety, we also recommend adequate/sturdy shoes.  

Due to strong solar radiation we also advise for sunglasses as to prevent visual damage as well as sun cream, suited for your skin type; this is especially important in children and at altitudes above 2000 m. Likewise, wearing caps, gloves and taking a rain cover can be an advantage.
